Neptune’s Grand Prize Winner Takes Son to Mile High “Experience” of a Lifetime
Ryan Flanders, Director of Business Development at Foodtopia USA, won Neptune’s Grand Prize playing the “Football Frenzy” game during the SupplySide West show in Las Vegas in October. Little did he know, he also won an “experience” of a lifetime.
The Grand Prize included an all-inclusive trip for two to see the NFL’s Denver Broncos play the Buffalo Bills in John Elway’s VIP Suite at the Mile High City Sports Authority Stadium.
Ryan spent the three-day vacation with his 12-year-old son Austin. The one-on-one father-son time was “awesome,” Ryan said. “This was a great trip neither of us will ever forget.”
While hoping to see snow, the weather didn’t cooperate. But Ryan said, “We got an experience like no other.”
Austin’s highlight was receiving field passes, allowing them to be on the football field during the pre-game activities leading up to the national anthem.
“We took advantage of this! We met players up close, and were less than two steps away from lineman ‘firing off the line’ in preparation for the game,” Ryan said. “And, we were on the field with the most decorated quarterback in the game today,” speaking of Peyton Manning. “But he’s not better than John Elway was.”
Then, Ryan and Austin were perched in the warmth provided by Elway’s personal VIP box and they watched the game with Elway’s close friends and family.
Ryan was very grateful, saying “This was a very generous prize and a really big deal for me and my son. Thank you Neptune for organizing all the arrangements!”
How did Ryan win the football toss game? Perhaps it’s no surprise he was a standout high school athlete at Torrey Pines and Santa Fe Christian in San Diego, California. He was an All-Conference athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He was named CIF Player of the Year in Basketball his senior year, and played in the CIF Finals two years in a row. His team won the CIF championship in football and baseball. After high school, Ryan played basketball at Point Loma Nazarene, earning Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Austin is also a great basketball player, and recently had a shooting lesson from Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
Topping off the trip, literally, Austin got a new Broncos beanie.
Enriching lives through our products and rewards like this one bring joy to the entire Neptune team. Tell us about an amazing experience you had this year in the comments below.
